Junior Golf Club Sizing Tool
Enter a height and get the two measurements that actually determine club length, plus U.S. Kids Golf’s own published size band for that height. Free to browse and no chart we couldn’t verify; a free account shows the sizing guidance.
Age gets used to sell junior sets, but height is what actually drives correct club length, and every manufacturer draws its own size bands slightly differently. That’s why this tool leads with height and names its source instead of printing a single universal chart.

Enter your junior golfer’s height
Free to use, no account needed to browse. Height is what actually drives club length, so that’s the only required input below. A free account unlocks the sizing guidance once you submit.
Age only sharpens which of our equipment guides we point to. It never changes the height-based sizing below, since two golfers the same age can differ by half a foot.
The two measurements that matter
How to measure a junior golfer for clubs
Height is the primary variable every manufacturer’s chart is built on. Wrist-to-floor is the secondary check a professional fitter uses to fine-tune from there, since two golfers at the same height can still have different arm length. Neither measurement needs special equipment.
Height
- Measure barefoot, standing on a hard, flat floor rather than carpet.
- Stand fully upright against a flat wall, heels, back, and head touching if possible, looking straight ahead.
- Use a proper tape measure or a wall-mounted height chart, not a guess based on where they reach on a parent.
- Re-measure at the start of each golf season, and more often during a known growth spurt.
Wrist-to-floor
- Stand fully upright, barefoot, with arms hanging straight down and fully relaxed at the sides.
- Find the crease where the wrist meets the hand.
- Measure straight down from that crease to the floor, keeping the tape vertical rather than following the body.
- Note the number alongside height. It won’t change which manufacturer band a golfer falls into, but it’s exactly what a fitter checks in person to confirm a chart-based size still feels right.

Frequently asked questions
What size golf clubs does a toddler need?
U.S. Kids Golf's published height bands start at 36 inches, so a toddler shorter than that falls below their standard junior sizing entirely. For that age, prioritize a light, short club a toddler can actually swing over matching any formal size chart. Our toddler and preschooler club guide covers what to look for instead.
How do I measure my junior golfer for golf clubs?
Measure height barefoot, standing fully upright against a flat wall with heels and back touching, using a tape measure or wall chart rather than a guess. For a second data point, measure wrist-to-floor: stand upright with arms hanging relaxed, and measure straight down from the crease where the wrist meets the hand to the floor. Height is what manufacturer charts are built on; wrist-to-floor is what a fitter uses to fine-tune from there.
Do juniors need a paid club fitting, or is a height chart enough?
For most young or fast-growing golfers, matching height to a manufacturer's published band does most of the work a paid fitting would find. A fitting earns its cost once there's a repeatable swing to fit against, not for a beginner who is still changing size every few months. Our club fitting guide walks through exactly when to pay for one.
Is a junior golf club sizing chart the same for every brand?
No. Club length bands are set by each manufacturer, not by a shared industry standard, so the exact inch cutoffs differ from brand to brand. This tool shows U.S. Kids Golf's own published bands since we could verify them directly on their site; always confirm against the specific set you're considering before buying.
