Blow-Up Hole Mental Reset
A mental routine drill for the Competition stage, on the course, in about 15 minutes.
Builds the ability to recover from a genuinely bad hole by practicing a specific reset instead of carrying it forward.
- Standard
- Solo
- Competition
Steps
- 01After any hole that goes clearly worse than normal, stop before walking to the next tee.
- 02Take one slow breath in and out.
- 03Say a short reset phrase, such as next hole.
- 04Use the normal pre-shot routine on the very next tee shot.
- 05After the round, note whether the next hole went better, the same, or worse.
Target
Try to log more bounce-back holes than blown-up follow-up holes over a season.
