Chip to the Towel

A chipping drill for the Foundations stage, on the practice green, in about 15 minutes.

Builds landing-spot control on chips by giving a clear visual target instead of just getting the ball on the green.

Steps

  1. 01Set a towel or hoop a few paces off the edge of the green.
  2. 02Take a stance a few steps back with a wedge.
  3. 03Chip toward the towel, aiming to land the ball on it rather than just near it.
  4. 04Count how many of 10 balls land on the towel.
  5. 05Move the towel a bit farther or closer and repeat.

Target

Try to land more balls on the towel than your last round of 10.
