A putting drill for the Development stage, on the practice green, in about 15 minutes.

Builds distance control by tracking how far up a distance ladder a golfer can climb and logging progress week to week.

Steps

  1. 01Set 5 markers on the green at increasing distances from a starting point.
  2. 02Starting at the closest marker, putt until the ball finishes within a defined zone around it.
  3. 03Once that distance is under control, move out to the next marker.
  4. 04Keep climbing the ladder until a distance is not consistently controlled.
  5. 05Log the best rung reached that session.
  6. 06Compare the log week to week to see the trend.
