One-Thought Block

A full swing drill for the Development stage, on the range, in about 20 minutes.

Builds swing consistency by isolating a single, simple thought for an entire block of balls instead of trying to fix everything at once.

ONE TARGETONE THOUGHT,THE WHOLE BLOCKFIRST 5, THEN ALL 20
Hold the one thought for more balls in a row than earlier in the block.

Equipment

  • mid-iron
  • 20 balls

Steps

  1. 01Pick one simple swing thought for the whole block, such as tempo or grip.
  2. 02Hit the first 5 balls with that one thought only.
  3. 03Check in after 5 balls: was the thought held the whole swing?
  4. 04Continue through 20 balls with the same single thought, resisting the urge to add a second fix.
  5. 05At the end, note whether the thought became easier to hold as the block went on.

Target

Try to hold the one thought for more balls in a row than earlier in the block.
